Technical Project Specialist I - Full-time

Job Summary:

The Institute for Biomedical Informatics is seeking a Technical Project Specialist I. This position serves as a leader and subject matter expert on the Commonwealth of KY Dept. for Behavioral Health, Developmental & Intellectual Disabilities (DBHDID) Information Systems. This position will organize and facilitate data sharing opportunities for Division staff and other stakeholders including both public and private agencies across the State. The employee in this position will represent DBHDID and their data on a variety of grant/agreement implementation teams across both public and private agencies across the State and provide DBHDID with leadership in the technology decision making process to their information data system 

This position will create proposals for system changes needed to accommodate DBHDID needs to include detailed scope of work needed for new data system design, modifications to existing information data systems, and discrepancy documentation to troubleshoot errors in existing information data systems. This position will act as a liaison between DBHDID staff and IBI's Application Development and Network Staff to ensure each understand the scope of work. The employee will ensure contract timelines and deliverables are met. 

The candidate for this position must have prior experience in a behavioral health setting analyzing complex healthcare data. This position will primarily be remote with occasional meetings in Frankfort at the Cabinet for Health and Family Services office.
