Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Medical Director, the APRN of Physical Health is responsible for providing quality physical health and psychiatric services in an outpatient, residential, and/or inpatient setting at the times and places assigned by Agency or any of its Providers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with other treatment team members, provide assessment and treatment of patients, by, among other things, performing intakes, evaluations, diagnostic work-ups, therapeutic interventions, and participating in treatment team meetings, and on-call coverage.
  • Complete rounds in person each day of on-call coverage for patients at the hospital in which the clinical need is present, the patient has had a special measure or PRN order within the past 24 hours, or for patients at the hospital and/or other facilities as requested.
  • Complete a psychiatric evaluation on any patient admitted at the hospital during the on-call coverage and complete psychiatric evaluations on clients at other facilities as requested.
  • Maintain appropriate and professional documentation and charting for all patients.
  • Participate in appropriate agency committees and professional organizations.

Follow and meet professional Board Requirements:

  • Participates in skill enhancement activities and in-services and workshops, both as a participant and provider, as required by the Agency or professional discipline.
  • Maintains licensure and/or membership in appropriate professional organizations.
  • For APRN's participates in clinical supervision and/or maintains a collaborative agreement with a licensed physician, if required by Nursing Board
  • Informs Acumen Medical Director, Hospital Administrator, Corporate Compliance Officer, In-House Counsel or President/CEO, in writing, of any observed or suspected violations of state or federal law.
  • Assists the Medical Director, as needed.
  • Follows all Program and Organization policies and procedures. Fosters collaborative working relationships among members of the leadership and management teams and programs
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess an active APRN license in Kentucky.
  • Masters Degree or higher in Nursing
  • Experience preferred
