Job Summary:

The Mobile Crisis Response Team Therapist utilizes clinical skills to assess individuals experiencing behavioral health crises, identifying behavioral health components which have contributed to the crisis. They assist individuals and family members clinically in de-escalating the immediate crisis and developing a treatment plan to address those needs. They also work as a team with other crisis team staff to provide coordinated services. This position is required to participate in a call rotation on nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

• M.S., M.A., MSW, or Ph.D. degree in human services or health-related field. Will possess one of the following New Mexico licenses:
• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), 
• Licenses Independent Social Worker (LISW), 
• Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPC), 
• Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC), 
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), 
• or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

• Background in mental health field preferred, but not required.

SKILLS:

Demonstrated success in the following areas:

• Excellent clinical skills, ability to work with people of diverse social backgrounds, and ability to perform effective family therapy. 
• Ability to provide consultation to other involved parties involved in a child's placement. 
• Good case conceptualization skills. 
• Ability to effectively manage time and schedule activities to meet deadlines. 
• Good listening, verbal, and writing skills. 
• Appropriate assertiveness skills to clearly communicate clinical issues to involved parties.
