Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Marketing and Community Engagement Specialist, Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with creating marketing and promotional materials, press releases, managing social media pages, managing ad campaigns and sitting in on meetings related to marketing and communication matters for RiverValley & Affiliates.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master's degree, OR recently graduated with a degree in marketing, communication, professional writing, business, or related field. 

• Should have excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently. 

• Excellent writing and communication skills. 

• Strong attention to detail. 

• Demonstrated work ethic with the ability to work at least 25-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday business hours. 

Job Description:

This position will provide support for marketing activities, including, but not limited to, managing social media pages, event planning, and development of promotional materials for RiverValley & Affiliates.

The Marketing Intern position will be asked to assist the communications department with various duties, including: 

• Scheduling daily posts for social media pages 

• Assisting with planning of internal and external events 

• Assisting with managing radio, television and print advertisements 

• Communicating with various departments and leadership about marketing needs 

• Maintaining deadlines 

• Designing materials or working with external designers to create materials such as brochures, rack cards, client folders, etc. 

• Preparing written materials for internal and external use, including press releases, companywide emails and external email marketing. 

• Other duties as assigned
